Channel & Pre-Sales Partner Manager/Director

Retailigence enables next-generation location-based services (mobile apps, digital advertising, social networking applications) by providing a data platform for local retail product and brand inventory. Retailigence increases retailer’s foot traffic, sales and profitability and helps brands ensure that their loyal customers can find their products. In order to rapidly scale the number of new retailers joining the Retailigence platform, Retailigence collaborates with enterprise software partners, like Epicor, SAP, NetSuite, NEC, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, to create partnerships and automated mechanisms for their customers connect to Retailigence and be part of the new world order of SoLoMo (Social/LocalMobile).

Role

We need to quickly add a Channel Partner Manager/Director to expand our presence with ISVs such as Point of Sale (POS) vendors, ERP vendors, eCommerce vendors, etc., and to create an outstanding experience for our partners and their customers.
The ideal candidate would have a strong business acumen coupled witha strong technical background (perhaps as a brilliant Pre-Sales Consultant or Systems Engineer) from the enterprise software industry with a strong track-record of results, who wants to move into a position of higher authority with a more business-oriented role. Excellent opportunity to build-out a new division of a fast-growing company in expansion phase.

This position will have direct revenue impact to our company’s growth and will be measured by the number of partners, the amount of business from each partner and the satisfaction of both customers (retailers) and Partners. Stock options will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Partner Identification, Relationship Development, Joint Value Proposition Development, Partnership Formalization & Support
• Identify suitable partners with retailer relationships and access to retail store inventory
• Reach out to partner and creatively ideate a win-win partner relationship
• Act as the main point of contact to the partner (from both a technical and business perspective)
• Manage all aspects of partner on-boarding with respect to documentation, integration, training and education
• Participate in the ongoing maintenance, development & growth of the partner relationship
• Customer Pre-Sales, Envisioning and Integration Design Support
• Provide hands-on support (both business solution and technical details) for partner’s customer presentations
• Create demos to demonstrate partner-oriented solutions to customer problems
• Get directly involved in the technical aspects of key accounts along with partner’s sales organization, if and as needed
• Retailigence Process Management & Improvement
• Communication of partner’s and customer’s needs to the internal organization
• Design processes and manage overall partner on-boarding program
• Advocate for partners and prioritize any development needs, feature requests, etc.
• Participate in development of partner training materials, partner portal, and other support materials as needed

• Experience working with product data, UPC codes, EDI, size/color variants, various databases, SQL, XML, EDI, SaaS platforms and Mobile are all advantageous
• Technical Experience/Ability
• 5+ years’ relevant experience in pre-sales, technical alliances and partnerships, customer program management and/or technical product management relevant to ISVs.
• Not afraid to be put in a situation where one needs to quickly white-board a joint solution
• Personal
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to travel as needed (10-20%)

Role

You’ll be expanding and enhancing the data handling capabilities of Tableau’s analytical product suite. You’re a “data geek” that has a deep passion for data and building robust, scalable and high-performance systems for working with large, diverse sets of data and allowing people to answer complex questions about that data.

Qualifications

• Java experience. (1+ years)
• Experience with Junit.
• SQL database experience or exposure. (6+ months)
• Must be able to understand and utilize a web-based API.
• Must have some experience or exposure to quality assurance/quality control procedures.
• Non-intern resource. Can be junior but must have more than intern-level experience.

Must be a self-starter who is passionate about increasing the quality and quantity of data for our online search service.
• Data Rock Star. You love data and you’re not afraid to say it! You’re a guru in all things data: relational databases, data warehousing, OLEDB and/or ODBC, etc.
• Experienced. You have at least three years of experience writing code and have a passion for solving complex problems.
• Highly Technical. You have solid development skills with SQL and C++ on the Windows platform – it is a bonus if you also are familiar with MDX.

Senior Software Engineer

Retailigence is a startup headquartered in Redwood City, Ca that seeks to bridge location-based shopping with real-time store inventory for the mobile and web-based customer.

Funded by some of the leading venture capitalists and “super angels”, Retailigence supports any mobile or web application on any mobile OS through its open API, with the goal of providing platform-independent shopping data to consumers and brand management combined with analytics for local retailers

As a member of our Technology Team the successful candidate will work from our Waterloo (Cambridge), Canada R&D office and be responsible for Java application development supporting business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Write server side code, primarily in Java.
• Design and implement new features and optimize existing ones.
• Diagnose problems in existing software and rapidly fix issues.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to fulfill business requirements.
• Assist with software evaluation & selection criteria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of Java experience and a minimum of 3 years work experience in a team environment.
• Demonstrated experience with web architecture, development tools and languages, e.g. JSP, JDBC, Java Servlets, SQL, Linux/UNIX, XML, JSON, Eclipse.
